Those Who Serve
Welcome and thank you for taking the time to look at our servant’s bio page. This page is in no way comprehensive. There are many other people who serve here at Calvary Chapel. The purpose of this page is simply to help you recognize and get to know the leadership here.
| Ray and Leisa Carter We are Ray and Leisa Carter. We were married in 1983 and first surrendered our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ in 1990 & 1989, respectively. We have six children: Adam, our son-in-law, Nichole, Allison, Zechariah, Noah, and Caleb; ranging in ages from 10 to 28. We also have two grandchildren, Micah Samuel and Seth Issac and a third grandson due in January 2012. Since 1996, it has been our pleasure to serve here as pastor and pastor’s wife. Jesus told Peter in John 21:15-17 to feed and tend His sheep. Jesus laid this call on Peter’s life as an evidence of Peter’s love. This is the call of God up on our lives as well. I have the primary privilege of teaching, praying for and loving those who call Calvary Chapel Lake Havasu City their home. Leisa oversees the women’s ministry and uses her gifts in many ways to build up the body of Christ here. Our passion is for God and people. Contact: pastoray_cclhc@citlink.net |

| Larry and Candy Moreno I love how the Lord delights in taking “nobodies” and making them useful for His Kingdom; that way, He alone can get the glory. I was raised Catholic, while my wife, Candy had no religious background until Jesus changed our lives for eternity. In the Spring of ’79, Jesus rescued Candy and by Christmas that same year, I surrendered my life to the Lord during a Happy Birthday Jesus party at Calvary Chapel of El Centro, California. the following year I married my high school sweet-heart (Candy) who joined me in Las Vegas, where we immediately began serving together at Calvary, Vegas. We’ve lived in Havasu for 24 years; 20 of which I’ve worked for the U.S.P.S. As a family we are addicted to the ministry of the saints (1 Cor. 16:15). All three of our children have served alongside us here at Calvary Chapel. I have been privileged to serve as an Elder since ’92, as the Worship Leader since ’95, and Associate Pastor since ’03. My wife Candy teaches Sunday school, Women’s Study, and assists in the sound ministry. He doesn’t always call the equipped, but He always equips the called. To God be the glory for the great things He has done! Contact: larryandcandy@frontiernet.net |

| Warren and Melany Holton The Lord has blessed us in so many ways. Especially with our new church home here at Calvary Chapel. Melany and I were married in 1995 and have been loving our Lord Jesus and growing together in His name ever since. At first I wasn’t exactly the “spiritual leader” that I should have been, until a friend gave me a book about being a leader in your home. It said to never “send” your family to church, but to “take” your family to church. God really spoke to me through that and from then on He has done some fantastic things in our lives. We have been involved in Children’s Ministry for the last 11 years. When we moved to Lake Havasu in 2005, it became obvious that God had plans for us here. I now serve as the Children’s Ministry coordinator and as a teacher for Sunday School & Wednesday Evening Service. Melany teaches with me and also oversees the sewing for the costumes for the Christmas productions. We look forward to what God has in store for us and we look forward to serving you.
